Bruce A. Wilfong

MANSFIELD – Bruce A. Wilfong, 45, of 246 Ruth Ave. died Friday afternoon, April 14, 2000, at Woodlawn Nursing Home after a long illness.

Mr. Wilfong was born May 25, 1954 in Mansfield, Ohio, living in the area all his life.  He was an employee of Linn’s Sunoco for 28 years.  Mr. Wilfong was a 1972 graduate of Malabar High School and a social member of VFW Mohican Post 9943.

He is survived by his parents, Robert and Evelyn Callihan Wilfong; three children, Heather Bradley of Perrysville, and Amanda Wilfong and Jason Wilfong, both of Mansfield; two grandchildren, Kaylea and Austin Bradley; a sister, Sandy Menon of Parma Heights; two brothers, Robert W. Wilfong and Randy Wilfong, both of Mansfield; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, William & Bessie Callihan; his paternal grandparents, Esther & Lawrence Wilfong; and two uncles, Bill Callihan and Jimmy Carpenter.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 18, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home, conducted by Pastor Chuck Sloan.  Burial will be at Mansfield Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.
