Dexter O. Davis
 
MANSFIELD: Dexter O. Davis, 55, died unexpectedly, Friday, April 30, 2010. Dexter was born October 2, 1954, in Mansfield, Ohio, to Ophinell Davis and Mildred Lee Caldwell-Davis. He lived in Mansfield most of his adult life.

Dexter played football and ran track when he was in High School. He attended Creveling Elementary School and Appleseed Junior High and graduated from Malabar High School in 1972. He then attended Ohio University for two years before dropping out to join the U.S. Air Force.

Dexter leaves to cherish in his memory his parents; a daughter, Roshell (Ronald) Flynn, of Atlanta, GA; four brothers, Martell (Kate) King, New Jersey, Donte D. Davis, Minneapolis, MN, Douglas (Cathy) Davis, Minneapolis, MN, and Dewand Porter, of Baltimore, MD; five great-grandchildren; a host of aunts, uncles and friends.

The services will be held May 5, 2010, 11:00 a.m., with one hour prior calling to the services. At Small's Funeral Services, 326 Park Ave. W., with Rev. Clifton Chandler officiating. The burial will follow at Mansfield Cemetery.

The family will be receiving relatives and friends at 372 Dale Ave., until the day of the services. The family has entrusted Small's Funeral Services with the arrangements. www.smallsfuneralservices.org.
