Mark A. Burkhart

Mark A. Burkhart, 53, of Delaware, Ohio passed away on Friday, May 2, 2008 in Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, and was surrounded by his family and friends who dearly loved him. He was born on August 28, 1954 in Mansfield, Ohio to Richard W. Burkhart and the late Carol E. (Hartnett) Burkhart. He had lived in Delaware since 1990. He had served in the U.S. Navy. He had been employed by the U.S. Government Postal Services for many years, having served as Postmaster from 1989 until the present, in different locations. He was currently serving as Postmaster in Marysville. He is survived by his loving wife, Sandra K. (Bowman) Burkhart, whom he married on April 28, 1990; his father, Richard W. Burkhart of Lexington, Ohio; his brother, Brian (Kimberly) Burkhart of Columbus; a niece, Amanda Huston of Hilliard; a nephew, Zach Huston of Hilliard; and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his Mother in 1999 Carol E. (Hartnett) Burkhart. The family will receive friends on Monday, May 5, 2008 from 2 p.m. until the time of the service at 5 p.m., in the RODMAN NEEPER FUNERAL HOME, 1510 West William Street, Delaware.
