Michael Stanley Jones
 
COLUMBUS - Michael Stanley Jones, 54, died Wednesday, February 04, 2009, at Arbors East Subcute and Rehab after an extended illness. Michael was born May 19, 1954, in Mansfield to Wilson and Ruby (Lewis) Jones. He graduated from Malabar High School with honors, receiving scholarships from Morehead State University, Kentucky, Ohio University, Athens, Ohio and Ohio State University, Columbus.

Michael was a lifelong resident of Mansfield, who was a loving and caring son, brother, cousin, uncle and friend. His spirit and sense of humor brightened the lives of many. He worked for Taylor Metal Mansfield and Pinkerton Security.

He leaves to cherish in his memory five sisters, Wilma (James) Watkins and Nancy Jones, of Mansfield, Thelma Jones of Bladensburg, Maryland, Velma (James) Tanks and Betty Jones of Columbus, Ohio; four brothers, Wilson (Edwina) Jones, Joseph Jones and Frederick Jones, of Columbus, William Earl (Helen) Jones, of Decatur, Georgia; two aunts, Virgie Buxton of Mansfield, and Mary Lewis, of North Canton, Ohio; two uncles, Easther (Edna) Lewis and Andrew (Ruth) Lewis, of Dayton, Ohio; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Michael was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Ruby Lee Jones, and Ida Jones Smith; grandparents, Cicero and Ida Robinson Jones and Andrew and Lillie Barnes Lewis; uncles, Otis Lewis, Woodrow (Gladys) Jones, Malachi (Persephone) Jones and John (Jessie Mae) McNeil.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, Feb 10, 2009. Calling hours are one hour prior to the services at Small's Funeral Services, 326 Park Avenue West, with Elder Thomas McLain officiating. Burial will follow at Mansfield Memorial Park.

The family will be receiving relatives and friends at 524 South Main St, until the day of the services.
The family has entrusted Small's Funeral Services with the arrangements.
