Mansfield - Mansfield: Kelly Ann Tharp, age 68, of Mansfield passed away Sunday, May 1, 2022 at OhioHealth Grant Hospital.

She was born April 29, 1954 in Mansfield to the late Fred and Jean (Kelly) Tharp.

Kelly graduated in 1972 from Mansfield Senior High School and attended Ohio University. She began her career at United Telephone in 1973 and retired after 35 years of service. While working there, she met many of her closest and lasting friends. Kelly felt very blessed to have so many wonderful friends!

She was a lifelong member of Mansfield 1st Evangelical Presbyterian Church where she loved serving the children of the church by working in the nursery, teaching Toddler Sunday School and Vacation Bible School for many years.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter Jennifer (Curt) Baden and the light of her life, her grandson Bryson. She is also survived by numerous extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents Fred and Jean Tharp, brother Rick Tharp, and several special aunts and uncles.

Kelly's family will greet friends Friday, May 6, 2022 in the Marion Avenue Snyder Funeral Home (350 Marion Avenue) from 10am-12pm. A celebration of life will begin at 12 pm. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery.
